Helensburgh nestles on the North shore of the Firth of Clyde at the entrance to the Gareloch. An area noted for high onshore gusting winds.
Rosa were specially chosen as the only manufacturer able to supply natural anodised aluminium columns that withstand the heavy local wind conditions. The standard Rosa design was able to take the weight of a double luminaire array together with double Christmas lights and CCTV cameras.
The Rosa column is manufactured with a constant wall thickness the whole of its length. This makes it less whippy in windy conditions. Offering increased stability for luminaires and equipment.
Rosa Raise and Lower columns were also used along the sea front in full force of the wind.

The beauty of the columns and their zero maintenance enhances the regeneration project.
